In between April 19th and May 16th 1943, Warsaw was under massive attack by Nazi’s troops. The city was destroyed. According to the Holocaust encyclopaedia, at least 300 thousand Jews were reported dead either in battle or at concentration camps during that period.

Warsaw was rebuilt from ruins. Luckily, the dark history doesn’t stop the city to shine. Warsaw is now home for more than 90 parks; Poland’s tallest building (@palackulturyinauki Palace of Culture and Science, 237 m tall); as well as the largest and best-equipped institute of pediatric healthcare in Poland (@centrum_zdrowia_dziecka Children's Memorial Health Institute).

Despite the insane traffic during rush hours, Warsaw’s mesmerising places and stories can attract an average of 9,6 million tourists annually. I’m falling in love with the city!❤

Back in late February 2014, this beautiful place was a mess. Here, the situation was out of control. Many officials fled the country for their safety. Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti aka. the Independence Square is a silent witness of Ukrainian revolution. I never thought that this place would be recovered since the images on media were really disturbing. Glad to know it’s restored already. Kudos to everyone! 😍👍

The Peterhof Palace is a series of palaces and gardens located in Petergof, Saint Petersburg, Russia, laid out on the orders of Peter the Great. The architecture is quite identical to Versailles Palace in France, only Peterhof is bigger and perhaps prettier 🙊🙊

Anyway, this former royal palace is now a seafront museum complex that surrounded by parkland. It's known for its many fountains. The entrance ticket is 900 Rubles and additional 1000 for entering the museum. Quite expensive but worth to visit, especially if you’re travelling with a special someone ✌️😉

The column of Alexander is a massive monument in the middle of Palace Square. It was erected in 1830s by architect Auguste Montferrand. You can also see a certain resemblance to Trajan's Column in Rome, from which perhaps took inspiration. This iconic monolith is commemorating Russia’s victory over Napoleon War. The total height of the column is 47.5 meters.
